Exhibit your artworks, is free

The Melendez's Paint Gallery invites every artists to exhibit their artworks. If you want exhibit your artworks, you have to send artwork photos to contact information, which appears on the Gallery.
When we'll accept your artworks, we'll put these on the gallery and we'll send you a email.

Meninas reproduction in oil

This is one of last Antonio's artworks, it consists in a reproduction of Velazquez's Meninas. Meninas is a master piece painted by Velazquez in 1656. On the painting appears, in front of, from left to right, Velazquez, Maria Agustina Sarmiento and a menina, the infanta Margarita, Isabel Velasco, the other menina and the dwarfs Maribarbola and Nicolas Pertusato. Marcela de Ulloa and Guadaddamas appear in backgroud. The mirror reflects the kings Felipe IV and Mariana of Austria.

The scene depicts a moment when the artist is painting and the infanta is looking how he works. It was a usually in the palace.
